I am a native New Yorker who moved to South Florida in 2020.  I graduated from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology.  I then went on to earn my medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY.  I completed my residency at The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, where I stayed an extra year to serve as a Chief Resident.  After finishing my training, I worked as a general pediatrician for over 11 years in the suburbs of New York City.  In 2020, my husband and I decided to move to South Florida to be closer to family.  I joined Personal Care Pediatrics in April 2021.

I love seeing children and adolescents of all ages.  My experience encompasses the entire range of pediatrics, from caring for well children and focusing on normal growth, development and prevention, to partnering with families to care for and advocate for children with complex medical needs.  I take great pleasure in developing relationships with patients and families, and this is one of the main reasons I pursued a career in pediatrics.  In addition, my fluency in Spanish is a useful resource, helping to eliminate the language barrier that some patients often face.

 My greatest joy is being a mother.  I have two children, now both in Middle School.  My children have taught me so much that one does not learn in medical school or residency.  From soothing infant fussiness, navigating behavioral and learning challenges, managing sleep issues and adapting to differences in temperament, motherhood has given me the life experience to offer sound and thoughtful guidance.  In addition, the joyful and most rewarding parts of parenthood allow me to relate to families on a personal level through our mutual experience of being parents.

 In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, appreciating nature, and of course playing with our dog Ginger.  I still travel back to New York several times per year to visit my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew, and many old friends and colleagues.  Although my foundation was built in New York, I have grown roots in South Florida and look forward to a fulfilling future taking care of children at Personal Care Pediatrics.
